After being off the stage for far too long, the Stockholm-based soul nonet The LaVettes is returning to the stage to celebrate the release of their new record: the double A-side “The Fool / Blank Expression.” Two songs written and produced by the band themselves, which capture the spirit of 1960s soul icons like Bettye Lavette—who would have thought that—and Diane Lewis in its grooves.
